Creating a music app that engages its listeners while standing out from the crowd is not that simple. Our client requested a highly intuitive app that would provide a deep immersive experience to its users. Meanwhile, the app must have various search functions that allow users to search music according to their mood.
In an iOS app, the remote connection to the Spotify SDK can disconnect after 30 seconds of inactivity. For example, when no songs are playing or when there is no internet connection. This would disrupt the seamless music streaming experience for the app users.

We addressed the challenges and our client’s demands and offered to create a highly intuitive and scalable app. The team also prioritized the app design and its UI so that a listener enjoys their visit on VibeList.
We first utilized Spotify SDK’s capabilities to check the player state and whether the user currently paused the song. If the song does not resume with the 30-seconds window, the remote connection will disconnect due to inactivity. In this case, the app may need to reestablish the connection with the Spotify SDK when the user resumes playback.
